Just to reduce my stress levels....

I failed to mention in my last Harley update something that's really gonna help with my stress levels...On Sunday when Scott was here (respite) he had mentioned he wanted to take Harley to Walmart because he needed to get a tripod for his camera. I told him we had already had three meltdowns this week at Walmart and that I didn't feel it was a good idea...not only that but it wasn't something HARLEY wanted to do...and we have had our respite from DAY ONE to be things HARLEY wants to do...That is just ASKING for a meltdown when you take him somewhere he doesn't want to go...BESIDES respite is not so that the provider can run his errands and do his shopping -- that is NOT what he gets paid for....

So he says, "well then Harley how about if we do like we do?"...Huh? I asked what he meant by that...he tells me "when Harley doesn't want to go into a place with me I leave him in the car"............

Well, guess what that lead to? YOU'RE FIRED....DO NOT COME BACK!! He was then reported to his "employer" (thus one of the meetings yesterday) for an investigation...IF that investigation leads to prove that he has in fact left Harley in the car while he did "his thing" in the past...He will have criminal charges to face....

Ahh, yes respite really helps relieve my stress!!?? Haha!! That's quite a joke!

Well this is just frustrating...because this is the THIRD respite provider who does not take his job seriously...the last one had an "issue" with being afraid of Harley -- and was taking Harley to his house rather than to the places we had agreed on...the one prior to that had taken money we sent Harley with was used to buy a dozen donuts and Harley was not given even one donut and we had HUGE problems with Harley about dontus for the next two weeks...until Harley could explain what had happened...

*sigh*

Oh Tracy! ((hugs)) That is horrid! I worked with children with needs as an RN and was appalled on a daily basis with what I saw and reported.
