The Mills

Yup, we did go to the Colorado Mills Mall yesterday...
Zac LOVED seeing the Christmas lights and had some chicken nuggets...Photobucket
Tyler "played" some video games....Photobucket
Played on the coin operated toys....

Pet the dog at the "Pink" store...Photobucket

While I was standing in line to buy lunch, Kelly had 'reserved' a table in the food court...I guess someone wanted that table because they gave Kelly money to take Tyler on the carousel!

Zac didn't know what to think of the video games...Photobucket

AND NOW...For the FUN part with Harley...
He did great through the whole mall...We purposely went the 'long way' because we knew they had a Lego Store...He wanted us to buy him a set and we told him that Santa would bring it...We parked as close as poassible (during the holidays!) to the entrance as we could...and knew we would need to remove him quickly....

Yes, he began ranting and raving like a madman when we left the store with no purchase...we finally made it outside and he began yelling how "dad is a stupid ass" and just kept repeating that...so I told him that Santa would bring him some legos for sure...he responded with "Santa is DEAD!! DEAD!! Santa is DEAD!!" and just kept screaming this...sure we were outside, but there were still other moms with young children around and we were trying to get to our van as quickly as we could...

I overheard these two moms talking as I was 'corralling' Harley away...They were commenting about how some people cannot control their children...and that some children just can't grasp that they can't be spoiled and how they would be spanking that kid by now...So I told Harley "I'm sorry, autistic or not you can't say mean things about Santa"....They looked back and did a double take so I know they heard me. I was in such a bad place yesterday to begin with the last thing I needed was someone bad mouthing my child...however the last thing I want to do is have Harley think that it's ok to act like that as long as he uses the 'excuse' of being autistic...

I finally got him into the van and he proceeded to try to break the windows out...

It was quite the scene, but we made it through it...and I will be taking them back to the mall before the end of the year...but I think we will avoid the mall that includes a Lego Store...sucks though because the other mall we frequent has a video game store (what mall doesn't nowadays?) -- But at least the fits we have there are shorter lived...

it always makes me sad when people are so quick to judge a situation they know nothing about. The world would be much better off if we treated each other with compassion wouldn't it?!?!

Wow, you had a busy day Tracy. My boys are very jeleous that you live by a Lego store. Lucky!

I am glad you spoke "up" in the parking lot, good for you. Cheeky ladies.

Hang in there, I know things are going to get better for you, I know you are down.
