If only Thursday had gone better....
I had to pick Harley up early from school for a dentist's appointment. He did a wonderful job working on his spelling while in the waiting room!! We managed to do ABC order and some of the two times each before he was called...They know not to let him wait long....
We get back there and he was ok...got right into routine of laying on the table...Then he suddenly, out of no where started to whine...not a good sign....
So we moved him to one of the private rooms...He was fine...cooperative...Then again, suddenly he began to thrash...spitting at the dr...yelling crazy things...trying to rip apart the dental equipment. The dentist and the assistant left the room so I could calm him. I talked him down and as soon as they came back into the room he began screaming a blood curdling scream! Again they left the room and I discussed having to use a papoose board. It was the only way that we could get him to stay still...He decided he didn't want that and said he would be good. As soon as the dentist got the needle in his mouth he began to thrash and the needle scraped the inside of his mouth...No more discussion...time for the papoose board...It took 4 of us to get him strapped to the board...and the filling was done in less than 3 minutes. It nearly had me in tears...I hate having to strap my son to a papoose board just for these kinds of procedures...and he did so well last time, I was confident he would be ok this time...Even the dentist was shocked by his reaction this time?
Then the OT called and said her dog was covered in blood and she wanted to reschedule...no problem...not a great day today anyhow...She will come Friday instead...That's easy...at least it gives me time to prepare him and write it on the board. As long as he knows what to expect the following day he's ok with changes in routine....well....
Then the speech therapist called and wanted to come early. I told her his schedule was already messed up with the OT not coming and leaving school early, so I didn't see any problem, but not to expect too much cooperation out of him....She showed up only 15 minutes early, so it didn't bother Harley at all...he cooperated FULLY with her...Hey!! That's not fair!!
I also had to prepare all the paperwork for Friday...Another errand day on Friday. I can't just mail Harley's recertification papers because then they seem to never find the place they need to be...so I had to prepare all this paperwork for Friday...one important paper I couldn't find...(but I ended up finding it on Friday morning just before I left-- thankfully!)
Of course, I was again expecting to see some kind of results on my opk...nope, still the faintest of faint lines...Maybe I'm going through early menopause? Maybe I'm going to have an annovulatory cycle? Well, it's only cd9 so I guess I shouldn't expect too much. I finally called the OB and made an apppointment for the 23rd and will talk to him more then...of course either I'll have a bfp or AF will be here by then....
