I would take him in to the doc just to make sure. As far as it being lyme disease, I'm really not sure what it looks like. What I can tell you is that it could be a slight allergic reaction to a bite. It sort of looks like what Angie has on her shoulder. The doctors call it a "solitary mastocytoma." It's a group of mass cells that are just under the skin and when they get irritated, they produce histamine which makes it appear swollen and red. Have you tried giving him some benadryl or some other antihistamine? Either way, get him to a doc to check on it. Update when you get a chance. Prayers and hugs for Harley and you.~Ruth
It looks more like an allergic reaction. I don't know if he can take benedryl...but you may want to give it a try. Just give it around bedtime if you do as it induces sleep.
