And even more frustrating....when I clicked on publish it erased what I wrote....so here we go again!
Remember I had requested that they move Harley's IEP meeting earlier to give us more time to discuss the transition and to go over the testing? FINALLY got a return call today. I guess the one in charge of the IEP meeting broke her ankle and hasn't really gotten everything together.
Anyways, she's not going to move the meeting earlier for a couple of reasons: #1 - "We won't be doing the transition part of the meeting tomorrow" WHHHHAAAAATTTT??? She says they haven't told her what school he'll be attending and besides they don't typically do the transition meeting--the new school has that 'responsibility'. That way we can see the school, meet the staff, etc....WELL that's not gonna happen I told her since it's a new program they have no classroom set up where Harley will be attending (although they have hired the teacher already). I've already asked to see the program and was told that wouldn't happen since it wasn't all ironed out.
Then the part that made me break down and cry -- Although this is a triennial and they've done all the testing, the results haven't changed from 3 years ago when he had the testing done then. So now it's official that he's plateaued (we have been thinking this too--maybe even some regression in some areas). It was just hard to hear that he has in fact plateaued...
I'm just so frustrated!! I still haven't gotten the draft IEP and am told it probably can't come home today either because it's not all together yet...WHHHHAAATTTT??? yes again - The meeting is TOMORROW at 3:45 pm....GRH!!! They've known all year that his IEP was supposed to be in March so why are they not ready?
*sigh* I guess I'll just see how it goes with both the directors there....I'm supposed to get a call back this afternoon around 5pm to let me know if they are done with the IEP draft yet....
