Well I asked for it!

After that whiny post from this morning -- I said I was hoping today would be better....

I just got the most amazing call! My Ex-husband called and told me he is moving out of state as of the 13th of March. He has asked if I would be willing to take the kids full time!! (What do YOU think my answer was?).

If you've followed this story you know some of background but here's a quick run down: he rents a townhome from his mom--she has decided to sell it so he's forced to move. He's been unemployed for two months now because he and his dad got into a huge argument and his dad closed down the business he had given him to run.

He ended up finding a job in a neighboring state and has already put money down on a new place there. It's only 2 bedrooms, so he doesn't have room for the children and doesn't want to "uproot" them. He's already talked to the kids and they decided they would rather live with me full time. He says he will still plan to come to town every 6-8 weeks and asks that I allow him to have those weekends with him when he's in town.

And as a bonus...his parents are finally coming around and asking for our contact information should they wish to contact us or take the kids out once in a while...and since he'll be moving out of a 4 bedroom with a study to a 2 bedroom apartment, he's offering all sorts of furniture to us as well!

But most importantly, for the first time since our divorce nearly 13 years ago....I am getting full custody (parenting time) of my older children! We can be a real family again! And maybe it will help Harley that we won't have to drop them off every Mon-Tues-Wed on the way home from therapy...
