8 months old!?

Zachary is already 8 months old!! I cannot believe how quickly time is passing...seems like yesterday he was a little tiny 6 pound baby...now he's a big 20 pounder and growing more each day. He's becoming more and more vocal and starting to actively play with Tyler.

I know I probably shouldn't wish it upon myself that he start crawling but I know he will have so much more fun once he can chase Tyler around the house (and it will wear them both out for a better naptime :) ).

I think he will be one of those kids who never crawls from his belly. He's been working on the crawling but now that he's a pro at sitting by himself he hates tummy time even more than before which I didn't think was possible! He will sit and try to reach for toys and fall on his nose...then he gets the concept of crawling and he's ok with it.

Oh and those chompers are giving him a hard time, but thankfully he's been a champ at dealing with teething...I mean there's TONS of drooling but not much crying or fevers. I am so lucky! He's still got only two teeth completely broken through the surface, two more nearly broken through the surface and two more that just don't want to give him the satisfaction of having all of his front chompers yet...

It's been such a joy to be able to watch him grow (and the other children grow with him). Pattyacake is quickly becoming a favorite and he loves singing of any kind...too bad mom sings so off key!

After his nap, I will have to get some pictures of him to remember his 8 month birthday. Since he has long outgrown his bouncy seat, I won't be able to do comparision pictures...I'll figure out something to show how large my little man is getting....
