Monday Larry comes over to get started on putting up the ceiling and interior walls in our basement! It will be nice to be able to keep Harley out of the furnace room and the hot water heater--because we all know that those are evil, er right?!
It will be nice to have ceilings too, maybe he'll quit pulling the wires out of the ceiling huh? Oh and ripping the light fixtures down too? (Oh, I'll have to get a pic or two later?). Then we can put up some REAL light fixtures too. Oh fixing up the house is a very, very slow project...We're putting a locking door to the laundry room too...then he might stop stopping the washing machine mid load because it's actually an evil robot who is going to kill the family...and then fly away (it really doesn't make that much noise!!).
But instead of sitting here making this post, I should be downstairs (while the boys are napping) and packing up all the little doodads and getting it ready to be worked on (ie: getting the crap out of the way?). I went down to start on it and the first thing I noticed was all that baby stuff which takes up one WHOLE corner of the basement, floor to ceiling, cabinets, everything is brimming! Some of it is clothes that Zachary and Tyler will need the next few seasons but there's also tons of other things...maternity clothes (3 or 4 bags full)...newborn clothes, preemie clothes, clothes that Zachary has already outgrown (just in case ~wink~). I looked at the pile (yes most of it's in bags b/c Harley rips boxes apart) -- and thought well, I could make some people on freecycle and craigslist pretty happy with all this stuff. I am itching to do it, but can't even bring myself to TOUCH anything newborn related right now...especially not getting rid of the clothes I was saving for that one last baby I thought I was going to have. I just don't feel confident it's going to happen and holding onto the hope that it might is starting to really be hard on my heart.
I guess that's why I'm not into going down there right now? Maybe I'll just nap instead...
