Today we had to finish running errands that we didn't get to yesterday. We must've driven past at least 3 different Walmarts....
Harley says to me...."can we go to Walmart now?"...I really wasn't planning it but then he follows it up with "I was good, I earned it!" -- and he was right...Although we now have all the food in locking cabinets and continue to lock the refrigerator at night...He didn't ATTEMPT to 'steal food' and DID behave well...so I gave in and bought him a $5 lego item at Walmart. He did a BEAUTIFUL job at Walmart today. No crying, whining, scratching, etc. No loud voices, no monster voices...
I am proud of him for turning himself around...and I am doubly proud of the fact that he understands the consequences of his behavior yesterday!! Now that doesn't mean it won't happen again, but he's starting to understand these very abstract concepts and I'm proud of him (and me!)...
